Studying abroad is a unique and enriching opportunity that allows individuals to experience new cultures, improve language skills, and broaden their educational perspectives. In 1998, I took the bold step to go to the United States to study English. Little did I know that this decision would change my life forever. Studying in the US was an incredible experience. Not only did I improve my English skills, but I was also exposed to a new culture, made new friends, and learned to be independent. I stayed in the US until 2001, and when I returned to my home country, I felt like a different person.

However, my journey didn't end there. A few years later, I was able to move to Canada as an immigrant thanks to my improved English skills. Living in Canada was an incredible experience, and I was grateful for the opportunity to start a new chapter in my life.

Years passed, and I found myself back in my home country, Brazil. I was looking for a job in my field of study, agriculture engineering, when I came across an opportunity with an American company that had operations in Brazil. I was the only applicant who had a good command of English, and I was offered the job. This was a turning point in my life as it opened doors for me and gave me new opportunities.

Today, I find myself in China, teaching and having an amazing experience. Again, my English skills have played a significant role in my success. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way because of my ability to speak and understand the language.

In conclusion, studying abroad changed my life in ways that I could never have imagined. The experience not only helped me improve my English skills, but it also exposed me to new cultures, opened doors for me, and gave me new opportunities. I am grateful for my time in the US and Canada, and I am proud of what I have accomplished because of my ability to speak and understand the English language.

Using Calligraphy to Learn Vocabulary words.

Learning vocabulary is an essential part of acquiring a new language or improving your mastery of your native language. This was a time-consuming and challenging task, but it helped me to develop my handwriting skills and appreciate the beauty of calligraphy.

As I got older, I started to understand the importance of having good handwriting, not just for school assignments but also for personal expression. I still remember those calligraphy notebooks that I used to practice in, filling them with different letters, words, and phrases. There was a great joy in the process of writing and seeing my handwriting improve over time.

Today, I do everything on computer, but I still miss those good old days of writing with my own hand, and I fell we could provide the benefit and joy for the younger generation who may start using computer before they learn how to write. Geometric Progression Argument

Mathematics is a powerful tool that can be used to support or refute arguments in various fields. One example of this is in the evaluation of multi-level marketing (MLM) strategies. MLMs are business models where individuals can earn income by not only selling a product but also by recruiting others to join and sell under them, forming a pyramid-like structure. However, this business model has been criticized for being unfavorable for the majority of participants, who are often at the bottom of the pyramid.

To prove this point, the concept of geometric progression can be used. Geometric progression is a sequence of numbers where each term is obtained by multiplying the previous term by a constant factor. In the context of MLMs, this factor can represent the income earned from each level in the pyramid. As the number of levels increases, the income earned from each level decreases.

As a result, the people at the bottom of the pyramid earn very little, while a small number of individuals at the top earn the majority of the income. This concept can be illustrated using a geometric series, where the sum of the series represents the total income earned by all participants. The formula for the sum of a geometric series is given by:

S = a(1 - r^n)/(1 - r)

Where S is the sum of the series, a is the first term, r is the common ratio, and n is the number of terms. In the context of an MLM, a is the income earned from the first level, r is the factor by which income decreases as the level increases, and n is the number of levels.

Using this formula, it can be shown that as n increases, the sum of the series approaches a limit, regardless of the value of a and r.
